A single synchronized throb — one calm beat.

Breathing

A slow swell — inhale, hold, exhale.

Sleep

A deep, very slow breath. For idle waits.

Perfusion

A pressure wave through the vessel. (= wave)

Peristalsis

A squeeze that travels — a swallow, the gut.

Flutter

Sporadic little kicks — a baby moving.

Blink

Eyelids close and reopen — the eye, the halo.

A gentle alternating gait. Unhurried.

Brisk alternating footfalls — legs pumping.

Crouch, leap, hang, land squash. Big umph.

Rigid lockstep — mechanical, determined.
